Service sector survey data suggests UK economy shrinks in June

Brexit paralysis takes hold of the service sector

Latest purchasing managers index (PMI) service data indicates that the UK economy is shrinking or at the very least remains flat.

The reading fell to 50.2 in June, below the 51 that had been expected.

Brexit uncertainty continues to dampen business enthusiasm preventing new and sustained investment in the sector.

This lack of investment demonstrates the deterioration the sector has been subjected to throughout this long period of Brexit driven indecision.

Note for our politicians

Get Brexit done! Complete the referendum! Three years of pathetic petty party political infighting has to stop!
