Bitcoin continues its spectacular rise as Facebook jumps on the cryptocurrency bandwagon.
Bitcoin has benefitted from the announcement that Facebook will be introducing its own cryptocurrency in 2020 aiding recent dramatic gains. Stellar increases this year have pushed Bitcoin above $13,000.00 as of Wednesday 26th June 2019.
The new Facebook cryptocurrency will be called Libra and will be set-up and run independently of Facebook. This move by Facebook is likely to give more credibility to Bitcoin and digital currency in general. See here for more details.
