UK construction sector slow down

June data released today 2nd. July 2019 appears to show UK construction dramatically slowed

May 2019 reading was 48.6 with commentators expecting the June reading to be 49.2. A reading above 50 shows growth, below 50 demonstrates contraction.

June’s purchasing managers index – PMI reading came in at: 43.1 – substantially below expectations.

As the UK government further demonstrates its economic ineptitude, the business community continues to despair as BREXIT paralysis now wraps itself around the construction industry!

Opinion

It’s surprising the economy is in such a reasonable shape considering we have had three years of indecision. Imagine how good it could be if we actually had a government running the country instead of squabbling over party politics and self serving interests?

All party leaders included!
